Restoring the black level of video images is a frequent problem faced by those designing video systems based on lcd panels. Their challenge is how to improve the reproduction of high contrast images without increasing the overall brightness.
Rohm believes its Adaptive Image Enhancement (AIE) technology could be a solution. The hardware based approach supports dynamic real time improvement of image and video files.
